It was declared that October 11 will officially be known as the International Day of the Girl Child, which will focus on recognizing girls’ rights and the challenges they face all around the globe. The theme for this year is 'Digital generation, Our generation'. It focuses on the gender digital divide in connectivity, devices and their usage, skills, and jobs. Keeping all that in mind ‘The ActionAid Bangladesh’ and ‘The Daily Star’ have initiated the campaign ‘Power in Her’ where a microsite page has been made and maintained completely by the "Preneur Lab" in order to celebrate those special girls and women who have made their mark in the face of adversity. The objective of this campaign is to bring recognition to the inner power in every girl child to encounter challenges and eventually gain the upper hand.
